MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Fisher Catholic Community,

I hope that everyone had a restful and fulfilling Christmas break.  2019 is off and running with a full week of school and we are excited to get the ball rolling on a new year!

The year began with 4 students that were selected to the All-County Band show, and they were amazing!  This is a great accomplishment for Ms. Rehrer and our band program.  Our quiz team competed against St. Charles Prep, and will be broadcast on WOSU TV-34 on January 30th at 7:30 pm.  Our boys basketball home game vs Liberty Union last night will be broadcast this evening at 7:00 on Spectrum Channel 1021.  It was a tremendous atmosphere in a packed gym!
We are having the blood drive today and as usual have great participation from our community to help save lives.

Over half our student body will be traveling to Washington D.C. next week for the March for Life!  Thank you to Mrs. Wilson and all of our parent chaperones for what will inevitably be a wonderful experience for all!  Please keep them in your prayers as they experience this journey.

Finally, we are looking forward to our 8th grade visit day and open house on Wednesday, January 23rd from 6:00 - 8:00, and the Bishop coming to celebrate the all-schools mass here at Fisher Catholic on Tuesday, January 29th.  Good luck to all of our sports teams over the next week and Happy New Year to all!

Blessings,
Jim Globokar

IRISH4LIFE PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Please join us on Sunday, January 13th, 2019 for our final pancake breakfast from 11am-2pm benefiting Irish 4 Life Club.  We will be offering ALL YOU CAN EAT blueberry, chocolate chip, or regular pancakes, bacon, juice, milk, and hot coffee.  All it costs is your generous donation. It is definitely the best deal in town! Please come out and support our club as we seek to raise money to offset the costs of the March for Life.  We hope to see you there and Thank You for supporting our students throughout this entire process! We truly appreciate all you do!

ALUMNI UPDATES

IMPORTANT REMINDER TO PARENTS:

Here is what we need you to do to help make the Spaghetti Dinner a success again this year:

1. Sell Tickets - You should have received 4 adult tickets in the mail for Spaghetti Dinner. ALL students are REQUIRED to pre-sell 4 adult tickets.  If you want to sell more than 4, you can pick up additional tickets in the school office. ALL students must turn their money back in to the school office to Kellie Shonk ASAP.

2. Serve Others - ALL students are REQUIRED to work a shift at the Spaghetti
Dinner; either serving, busing or whatever is needed. Student workers are
asked to wear black pants and white shirts. Students who will be asked to work
clean up will be permitted to wear jeans and t-shirts. Miss Henry will contact all
students to inform them of the shift they will be working at the Spaghetti Dinner.

3. Donate a Dessert - Every student family is asked to donate a dessert. Please
deliver your dessert to the school cafeteria on Saturday, January 19th from
9:00 a.m. - Noon or on Sunday, January 20th before the dinner. Please send the following desserts:

Freshmen & Sophomores - Pies
Juniors & Seniors - Cakes

4. Parent Volunteers - Parent volunteers are needed as well.  Please contact
Angie McCrady at (740) 689-1658 or acemccrady@hotmail.com if you are interested in volunteering for the Spaghetti Dinner.  Please know that we appreciate your help with the Spaghetti Dinner and all Fisher Catholic High     School events.

Thank You!!
